Sunday School meets for ages 3 through 5th Grade meet at 11:15 a.m.
Messy Church is offered the first Sunday of every month at 11:15 a.m. and will be followed by lunch. Messy Church is an interactive, hands on, intergenerational worship experience. (To learn more about Messy Church in general, you can visit www.messychurchusa.org.) We will have some music and prayer, a brief reflection, and then an activity that children and adults can do together. This will be followed by sharing lunch together. Faith, fun, and free food! What's not to like?
Sunday School and other programming for middle and high school youth is available as well. Please reach out to Pastor Eric for more information.
Occasional special family events, such as Advent Workshop and Decorating Party, a fund-raising Mardi Gras carnival, or a Pentecost Kite-flying Party are held before, after or during Sunday school throughout the year. All Sunday school classes lead the congregation in a 10 AM Christmas program service on one Advent Sunday each year.
Adult Studies
Adult Faith Formation
Adults meet for faith formation Sundays following worship.
Vacation Bible School
Children, youth and adults from the church and the community are invited to St. Peter's annual, week-long Vacation Bible School held each July.
Church Camp
St. Peter's United Church of Christ pays a portion of camp fees for children active at St. Peter's who attend Missouri Mid-South Conference Outdoor Ministries programs.
Confirmation
All seventh graders or older in the church are invited to enter the confirmation program each year in preparation for them to affirm their baptism and confirm their faith, joining St. Peter's UCC as full members.
Pastors and lay leaders coordinate and lead this class. Each confirmand is also partnered with a mentor from the congregation with whom they meet periodically during the confirmation year for guided activities and discussion about Christian living. The class meets during the school year with the Rite of Confirmation happening at Pentecost.
New Member Orientation
Gatherings are offered quarterly by the pastors working with the Evangelism Committee. Please contact one of the pastors if you are interested in becoming a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ.
