Director of Music
Ken Tucker

Ken Tucker has spent the last 30 years sharing his musical passion with people of all ages.  He works in Missouri where he has taught vocal and instrumental music encompassing grades Pre-K thru college.  He is currently the Director of Vocal Music in Owensville, Missouri, where he teaches both Middle and High School choirs.

Ken has served in leadership roles including as the Choral Vice-President for MMEA and as MCDA High School R & R Chair, District Representative and Awards Chair. Under his direction, his choirs have received superior ratings at various State and National Music Festivals and have twice performed at the MMEA In-Service Conference. 

In addition to his school choirs, Ken is also the Director of Music at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Washington, Missouri, and the Artistic Director for the Washington Community Chorus.

He is a recipient of MCDA's "Prelude Award”, has been on staff with the Missouri Ambassadors of Music, and is a frequent adjudicator and clinician throughout Missouri.

Ken holds degrees in Music Education and Choral Conducting.  His conducting teachers include Guy Webb, David Rayl and Paul Torkelson.  His areas of interest include choral literature for smaller schools, hymns and carols, teacher training and educational psychology.

Ken resides in Union, Missouri, with his wife, Jill, and their three children, Emma, Bradley and Noah.
